We started our Princess Alaska 3-Night Cruisetour June 2023 in Anchorage, Alaska. We took the Princess transfer to the Captain Cook Hotel to spend the night.
Our journey began early about 0830 to get the Princess bus to the train depot.

The views were outstanding.

By 1207 we were at Talkeetna to take the Princess Cruises bus to the Princess Mount McKinley Lodge. When we exited the bus, we walked into town because we had a special Princess tour. However, our luggage went to the Mount McKinley Lodge.
We walked into town and ate lunch at the Homestead Kitchen in Talkeetna.

We then walked to the K2 Aviation Building to check in for our 430 pm tour.
K2 Aviation provided boots! We were the only group that was able to land on the Ruth Glacier that day and our tour was shortened due to the weather. The rest of the flights before and after ours were cancelled.

We walked back to the bus area and took the shuttle bus to the
Mount McKinley Lodge. Nancy had made Open Table reservations at North Fork Restaurant.
The luggage had to be outside our door by 6am. The next morning we quickly ate breakfast at the North Fork Restaurant and got on the bus by 7 am. Get there before the doors open in order to be seated, order, and eat in time.

We got on the bus just in time. It was a 2.5 hour ride to the Denali Princess Lodge. Our luggage was not in our room for a while. We ate lunch at Fannie Q’s Saloon.
Princess Raft 145pm WILDERNESS WAVE TOUR #770. It was very interesting getting into the “dry” suits and wearing oversized water shoes over the plastic sock feet.

We ate dinner at King Salmon Restaurant Denali Princess Lodge.
Then the finale was our Princess Colors of Sunset #345 9pm Photography Tour. It was worth the missed sleep as until that point, we had not seen the top of Mount McKinley / Mount Denali. Highly Recommended!

The Grand Princess was waiting for us to set sail. Our bus was delayed due to tunnel traffic and arrived at 345pm with a 4 pm departure.

This was a splendid start to our Alaska vacation! If we had more time, it would have been great to have a longer stay at the Princess Lodges in order to experience more of Alaska.
