We exercised in the gym on the ship and ate a late breakfast. We had planned to visit the the oldest synagogue in the United States, Touro Synagogue in Newport, Rhode Island, which was built in 1763, however, it was being used for a funeral. We walked there to take a photo.

This is the shopping area 5-10 minutes walking distance from the port.
At the dock area they had lobster rolls that folks were raving about.
Too short of change of plan else we could have done a Viator Newport tour.
Boston traffic is normally jammed. Even if you take the hop bus/trolley, be prepared to wait for several trolleys to pass you by.
We chose the Princess Old Town Trolley tour (BOS-130) for the hop bus/trolley to guarantee a ride. Nancy had read multiple reviews of frustrated people that tried to save money, but the bus/trolley’s were full of prepaid passengers. The Boston Old Town Trolley has many stops and one of them is the USS Constitution, however, it gets skipped due to construction without notice. Additionally, the USS Constitution is CLOSED on Mondays, however, the museum is open on some holidays. We were there on Columbus day and went aboard for a self-guided tour.

Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. We took the Princess 2.25-hour Acadia National Park & Cadillac Mountain (BHB100) at 345pm tour to see Fall Foliage and the chance to be on top the mountain for 20 minutes. Note: The mornings are sometimes foggy so we wanted an afternoon tour to get the best view of Cadillac Mountain.

This week we did the Reversing Falls at Bay of Fundy, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada on our own.

Last port on this cruise was Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
We enjoyed our Princess tour 7-hour Local Connections: Colonial Lunenburg & Amos Pewter Experience with Local Artisan (YHZ-210).
