Beautiful Sunset @ St. Thomas

Lovely view over Long Bay in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. This was at the restaurant at the top of Paradise Point on the Sky Ride to Paradise cable car looking out at the ships in port, Regal Princess being one of them. Regal Princess was docked from 10am-10pm. This is an overlook with views of Charlotte Amalie and the surrounding harbor.

The views at the top are amazing and especially at sunset. Many cruises leave port before sunset so this was a rare treat!

We started our day with an omelet breakfast in the World Fresh Marketplace Buffet. Later, we at lunch there around 1230 before our tour.

We booked ahead of sailing for the afternoon Princess STT-130 2-hour Tour St. Thomas Island Drive which provided the best opportunity for photos which was from 2-4pm. The open-air shuttle bus drove up the mountainous Skyline drive which provided picturesque views along the way to the top of the mountain. We held tight as it was a very windy road to the Mountain Top duty-free shopping souvenir store/bar atop St. Peter Mountain. Mountain Top is known as the birthplace of the world-famous banana daiquiri. Go through the store to find the observation deck which provides spectacular views 1200′ above Magen’s Bay. Additionally, you can see over 15 islands on a clear day. Afterward, the shuttle took us to Drake’s Seat for a panoramic view of Magen’s Bay and the surrounding islands. On a clear day you can see St. John.

When we returned, we walked down the Havensight Pier to The Smoking Rooster where we enjoyed delicious pulled pork for an early dinner. It was a short 5-10 minute walk to Paradise Point aerial ride. We planned to be at the top platform before sunset to find the best place to capture the amazing sunset. All in all a fabulous day!
